Robert Luo, Ph.D., has more than 15 years of experience in strategic planning, new business development, and team management, specializing in renewable energy and smart building applications. He served in the Industrial Research Institute and Delta Electronics.
From 2006 to 2017, Robert held progressively responsible roles in new business strategies and development and global strategic layout. During this period, he focused on industries such as photovoltaic systems, intelligent green buildings, and Internet of Things applications. He was responsible for several mergers and acquisitions in Taiwan, Austria, and Canada. Robert is an inventor on several patents and patent applications covering intelligent building control and management applications for the Internet of Things technology.
Robert received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University. From 1998 to 2006, he established and led the Electric Power Research Laboratory at the Industrial Technology Research Institute to study fast charging technology, power quality solutions, and renewable energy generation system parallel technical.
In 2018, he became a full-time daddy to his daughter. In the meantime, he founded PIO NETWORKING PTE. LTD. and 皮歐創意有限公司, which he started a new field of Internet of Things applications.
